A man with a deep love for God, the outdoors and books… And classic cars, the guitar (look, I have a lot of interests! Ok??)
My name is Greg and that is a pretty accurate description of me. But you may ask, “Yeah, but why did you feel the need to start a blog?”. Well the answer to that question will take a little more than one sentence to articulate. Here’s the condensed version.
With each passing year less and less people take the initiative to get out and explore nature. They would much rather sit in front of a tv and play games or binge watch their favorite show. I’ll admit that I am definitely guilty of these acts myself. But at the same time I make sure to get out and experience something new whenever possible. We live in a very large world, one that cannot be fully experienced from within the four walls of our house.
So I started this blog to give others a chance to see just how much there is out there. I hope to spark something in the visitors of this page. To entice them to step out of their comfort zone and experience something new. Between road trips and backpacking trips I always seem to be taking on new adventures. I want others to share in those adventures and hopefully embark on a few of their own.
And of course my love for nature starts with my love for God. I am a Bible believing, Holy Ghost filled man of God. I believe whole-heartedly in 2 Timothy 3:16-17:
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
So with my love for God comes my love for His creation. I also believe in my tagline, Genesis 1:28:
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
So that’s a little bit about me. Even this long bio isn’t enough to fully explain my intentions with this blog. So just stay tuned and see how God’s plan unfolds through time. See you on the trail soon!
